Oilers sweeps Power to make it to the final while JKL Ladies pull back in game 2

City Oilers made to yet a 5th final after stopping Betway Power in game 3 of the series of 5.

Oilers gave no Power chance winning all the 3 games, 80-70, 77-59 and 84-77.

Power came up in game 3 with a do or die spirit seeking redemption to try push the series since Oilers had won the precious 2 needing to win 1 and seal it.

Power trailed 16-24 in the first quarter but closed the gap in the second quarter ending it behind 1 point, 44-45.

Oilers continued playing like a team with a mission as they refused to give Power any chance to go a head ending the third quarter with a 6 point lead ,66-60 before killing the game in the final quarter at 84-77.

Both Power’s Fahmy Sebatindire and Oilers’ Stephen Omony scored 21 points each while Ikong Joseph scored 16.

City Oilers now waits the winner between KIU Titans and Warriors who have played 2 games each winning 1 while their 3rd encounter is on Friday 17th of November.

In the Women’s category , defending champions UCU Lady Canons were put to sword by JKL Lady Dolphins in their second game as they leveled the series at 1:1.

UCU won game 1 72-52 but JKL came out strong in game 2 winning 70-62 in a game that UCU’s Vilma Achieng scored a total of 17 points and JKL’s Salma Akinyi scored 14.
