SC Villa to axe four as Stojanovic shapes up squad

SC Villa are set to part ways with four players as preparations for the 2023/24 season intensify.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that new head coach Dusan Stojanovic has decided to release players Martin Elungat, Pitsis Barenge, Hassan Musana and Fred Agandu.

The Serbian tactician has already informed the top hierarchy at the 16 time Uganda Premier league champions that the named player are not in his plans for the forthcoming season.

Defender Agandu joined SC Villa from Onduparaka FC at the start of the 2020/21 season.

Left back Musana signed for Villa last season during Jackson Magera’s tenure. Before moving to Villa, Musana had been released by KCCA FC. He has also previously featured for BUL FC, JMC Hippos,The Saints FC and Gaddafi FC.

Barenge and goalkeeper Elungat joined the Jogoos from Mbarara City at the start of the previous campaign.

SC Villa have already signed Denis Ojara, Charles Batibwe and Police FC Midfieder Diego Ssemugera
