Stanbic Uganda Cup: Dhata rescues NEC in Semifinal first leg draw at BUL

Joseph Dhata scored a crucial away goal in NEC FC’s 1-1 draw away to BUL FC during their Stanbic Uganda Cup first leg Semifinal at Njeru Technical centre on Sunday.

Jeromy Kirya gave the hosts the lead in the 17th minute of the contest with a sensational strike that left NEC custodian Benjamin Ochan with no chance.

Dhata who has been in fine form for NEC this term levelled matters in the 54th minute.

He has now scored five goals in the Stanbic Uganda Cup this term (3 against Acholi United, one against Busoga United and BUL FC).

The two sides will next face off in the return leg fixture at MTN Omondi Stadium on Saturday, 4th May.

Meanwhile, Kitara powered past Pajule Lions 3-1 in the other semifinal that was played on Saturday at Masindi Municipal Stadium.

Pajule Lions will host the second leg on Sunday, 5th May at Pajule Primary School Grounds.
