Blacks Power FC cruised to a 1-0 win over FUFA Big League leaders Police FC at the Akii-Bua Stadium in Lira on Sunday.

Otim Dante first half strike was enough to give the hosts maximum points over Simon Peter Mugerwa’s Cops.

Police FC stay top of the log with 44 points they have garnered so far as they battle to return to the topflight division.

Blacks Power are now sixth on the table with 37 points and three points adrift of the promotional places.

In the other game, third placed Lugazi FC suffered a 1-0 defeat to Onduparaka FC at Greenlight stadium in Arua.

Bernard Ndifuna’s 40th minute strike was enough to see the Caterpillars maximize points.

This is also Onduparaka’s fifth consecutive win in the FUFA Big and are currently 5th on the log with 38 points, two adrift of the promotional places. They will next host Booma FC on Sunday, 12th May.

Defeat saw Lugazi FC fail to close the gap on leaders Police FC and stay third on the log with 40 points, but have a game in hand over the Cops and second placed Kataka FC.
