U-20 AFCON QUALIFIERS: Uganda drawn against South Sudan

The national under 20 team has been drawn neighbours against South Sudan in the qualifiers of the 2019 junior African cup of nations to be hosted by Niger.

Uganda will host the first match on the weekend of 30th/31st March and the return leg on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of April.

The aggregate winner between the two sides will meet Cameroon who alongside other 12 nations have been exempted from the first round.

The teams exempted are the 12 teams who qualified to the final tournaments of the last two editions in addition to the
4 teams who reached the last round of the qualifiers of the last edition.

The championship is a biennial competition and the main youth football competition on the continent, semi finalists of the competition automatically qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup. Zambia are the defending champions.
