Ugandan winger joins Denmark’s Brondby IF

Ugandan born winger Jamal Masiko has joined Denmark side Brondby IF from BK Copenhagen on a one year deal.

Masiko has been playing for BK Copenhagen which serves as a reserve team of Danish giants FC Copenhagen.

His impressive form in the Denmark second division reserve series attracted the interest of Brondby IF who have officially acquired him on a deal worth 250,000 Danish Kroner an equivalent of about 37,000 USD.

The budding winger will be turning out for the Brondby IF U21 team and will automatically graduate to the senior team on account of impressive exploits.

“I want to perform well because my goal is to be the top scorer and eventually move up to the senior team.” Masiko told Swift Sports.

Masiko has previously played for Swedish sides lower clubs KSF Prespa Birlik, BK and Kulladals FF before he crossed to Denmark.

He was born to Tommy Masiko and Sanyu Batambala in Uganda before they relocated to Sweden when he was five years old.

He was previously summoned by Morley Byekwaso in the U20 team which was preparing for the U20 AFCON tournament which was held in Mauritania.
