URA extend unbeaten run with slender victory over Ndejje University

Peter Lwasa’s header off a Moses Sseruyidde free kick has inspired URA to their second successive win and ultimately extending their unbeaten run to 3 in 3 games played.

They have subjected league debutants Ndejje University to their 2nd loss of the season.

The tax collectors looked the better side creating several chances in the first half only to be wasted by Vitalis Tabu and Matthew Odongo.

Noel Nasasira nearly broke the deadlock for the visitors in the 40th minutes only his efforts to go afew inches wide.

At the start of the second, half Matthew Odongo was withdrawn by Sam Ssimbwa for Joackim Ojera.

Joackim Njera nearly doubled the tax collectors lead in the 85th minute only to be denied by Derrick Emukule.

A win propels URA to the second on 7 points as Ndejje University occupies 11th position with 3 points.

Abdallah Mwima and Bernard Katetemera were the Ndejje University players cautioned as URA’s Yeseri Waibi was also booked.

Both teams will be back in action on Wednesday October 24th, URA will visit Maroons FC and Ndejje University will be hosting Police FC.
