OFFICIAL: Robertinho appointed as Simba head coach

Former Vipers SC head coach Roberto Oliveira alias Robertinho has been appointed as the new head coach for Tanzanian Giants Simba SC.

Vipers officially confirmed Robertinho’s departure last week was unveiled by Simba SC the press at held on Tuesday morning.

The Brazilian tactician replaces Zoran Manoljovic at Simba SC.

Manoljovic left his role at the Tanzanian outfit this year and was replaced by caretaker Juma Mgunda.

Robertinho has put pen to paper on a two year employment contract at the Tanzanian outfit.

During his reign at Vipers, Robertinho managed 57 games, winning 43, drawing 9 and only lost six.

He won the 2020/21 Stanbic Uganda Cup trophy and the 2021/22 Uganda Premier league title.

The Brazilian also helped the Venoms reach the group stages of the CAF Champions league after eliminating TP Mazembe in the final Qualification phase.

Former Vipers forward Cesar Manzoki is also expected to join his former boss at Simba this transfer window.

Vipers and Simba are the same group of the 2022/23 CAF Champions league alongside Raja Casablanca of Morocco and Horoya AC of Guinea.
