Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Srjedojevic Micho surprisingly named Uganda Cranes 25 man squad without that name, Ibrahim Kasule, arguably the best player in the first round of the Uganda Premier League.
The stylish offensive midfielder had contributed five goals and six assists for Wakiso Giants in the opening half of the season.
Why would the best player in the league be dropped?
Close sources reveal that Kasule was withdrawn from the CHAN bound squad ahead of a possible transfer to a yet an unconfirmed club.
It is a public secret that Kasule has been under the watchful eye of New York Red Bulls which is the home to former Uganda Cranes skipper Ibrahim Ssekagya who now serves as the coach for the reserve side.
However, Kasule is also a transfer target for a yet unidentified club in Turkey, a close source has revealed.
The highly rated midfielder is bound to make a transfer away from the country and his passport was withdrawn for paperwork procedures.
Kasule’s possible destination remains as mysterious as death.
He joined the Purple Sharks in 2020 from Nansana United.
