Uganda Cranes and former Vipers SC midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga has joined MLS Next Pro side Austin FC II.
The 2021 FUFA Male Player of the year joins Austin FC II from Czech Republic MFK Vyskov on a season long loan with an option of making the deal permanent.
Austin FC Director of Player Personnel Sean Rubio confirmed the development via their club website
“Announcing the first-ever Austin FC II signings is an exciting step as the team continues to build toward its inaugural season.”
“Bobosi, David, and Cheick are all top young players who we hope will have ample opportunity to continue their development in Austin.” Said Rubio as quoted by the club website.
During his time at Vipers, Bobosi helped the club win the 2019/20 and 2021/22 Uganda Premier league titles and the 2020/21 Stanbic Uganda Cup triumph.
He was one of the best performers for the Uganda U-20 team that finished as 2021 AFCON U20 runners up to eventual winners Ghana.
