Paul Mucureezi joins Big League giants

Big League side Kitara FC have completed the signing of attacking midfieder Paul Mucureezi.

Mucureezi joins the Big League table leaders as a free agent after expiration of his employment contract at Vipers SC.

Uganda Premier league clubs URA FC and Wakiso Giants were also interested in Mucureezi’s signature in the current transfer window.

The former KCCA FC and Mbarara City midfielder won two Uganda Premier league titles (2019/20 and 2021/22) and the Stanbic Uganda Cup during his time at Vipers.

Kitara have already signed Godfrey Lwesibawa who joined from Gaddafi FC while the leading scorer Patrick Henry Kaddu is on his way Kenyan giants Gor Mahia.

The club also suspended their head coach Mark Twinamasiko for two months with immediate effect.

Kitara finished the first round with 31 points from 15 games they played. In the Stanbic Uganda Cup they will play Regional league side Free Stars FC.
