Stanbic Uganda Cup: NEC among four Big League clubs knocked out as Kitara advance

Kitara Football Club are the only Big League that managed to progress to the round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The other four lost their respective ties and ultimately kicked out at the round of 64.

The Hoima based side defeated Buganda Regional League Free Stars FC 3-0 in spot kicks after a full-time barren stalemate.

Abbas Kateregga, John Wesley Kisakye and Jasper Aheebwa scored the three penalties for Kitara FC.

Goalkeeper Micheal Kagiri of Kitara FC saved two penalties while the third went wide

NEC FC lost 1-0 to Pajule Lions, Luweero United were also humbled to a 3-2 defeat by Blue Stars FC.

Northern Gateway were humiliated by Admin FC 5-1 and Soroti City lost 2-1 to Junior Eagles FC.

Kitara FC, Pajule Lions, Junior Eagles, Blue Stars FC and Admin FC progress to the round of 32.

Action will resume on Monday 30th with two games.

Holders BUL FC will face off with Buganda’s Sparks Soccer Club at Kirondo play ground

Ndejje University will play against Ntinda United FC at Kampala Quality grounds.
