FUFA Big League side Kitara FC will host Kitara Regional League side Uganda Pentecostal University (UPU) in the round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup in Hoima on Tuesday 14th February.
Kitara FC eliminated Buganda Regional League side Free Stars 3-0 in spot kicks after both sides playing to a goalless draw.
UPU eliminated top-flight side URA FC 4-3 on penalties following a 2-2 stalemate.
This will be Sam Simbwa’s second competitive match since he was appointed Head coach, his first game in the dug out was a goalless draw with Northern Gateway in the FUFA Big League.
Ssimbwa has warned his team against any complacent tendencies if they are get past the minnows.
“We should not underestimate Uganda Pentecostal University because we all saw what they did against URA. They are a good team with very good and promising young players.”
“I have been with these players not for so long but I am familiar with most of them and so far I am impressed with their response in training and I know they will put up a strong performance.”
“We shall be playing from home and we should be able to win because we want to go as far as we can in this competition,”

The other game of the day will be between UPL sides Blacks Power FC and Wakiso Giants at Aki Bua Stadium in Lira.
