Kitara announce Kinyara Sugar as official shirt sponsor

Big League side Kitara FC has officially unveiled Kinyara Sugar on Wednesday 15th as their official shirt sponsor in a function that was hosted at Grand Imperial Royal Hotel.

Kinyara Sugar Limited has injected 50 million Uganda Shillings of which 30 million is in form of cash, while the 20 will come in form of tangible goods.

Caroline Amongin the Corporate and Communications manager Kinyara Sugar Limited revealed that they chose Kitara FC because of their impact in society and giving back to the Bunyoro community.

“We are always supportive towards sports and other activities with the Bunyoro community, this time we decided to partner with Kitara FC because of the history of Kinyara Sugar and Bunyoro and we promise to continue doing so.”

Kitara Football Club president Deo Kasozi Akiiki appreciated Kinyara Sugar Limited for coming on board to support the best Football Club in Region,

“As Kitara FC we are grateful with this sponsorship it has come at the right time, it will help us in the smooth running of the club and we promise to put to good use to the resources and also help in promoting the products of Kinyara Sugar Limited.”

The club’s brand ambassador Amlan Tumusiime who is also the RDC of Kikuube District, former club president Godfrey Bamwenda, Francis Mugerwa vice president in charge of communications and club CEO Joshua Atugonza were also in attendance.

Kitara Football Club eliminated Kitara Regional League side Uganda Pentecostal University (UPU) 2-1 and progressed to the round of 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup

The Royals are second on the big league table with 32 points one behind leaders NEC FC, they next play Booma FC at Kigaya grounds in Hoima on Friday 17th February.
