Stanbic Uganda Cup: KCCA FC beat Kataka to join six other UPL sides into the last 16

Ten time Stanbic Uganda Cup winners KCCA FC beat Kataka 3-0 at Mbale Municipal Stadium on Monday to complete round of 16 lineup.

Goals from skipper of the day Allan Okello, Tshingu Kakonde and Rogers Mato sent Morley Byekwaso’s side into the last 16.

KCCA eliminated KJT with a similar score in the round of 64 while Kataka FC ejected Golira Highlands.

They join other six Uganda Premier league sides who already made it to the last 16, these include holders BUL FC, Onduparaka FC, Vipers SC, Soltilo Bright Stars, Wakiso Giants and Express FC.

Meanwhile, six Big League side progressed to the last 16 and these are Ndejje University FC, Adjuman T/C, Calvary, Police FC, Mbarara City and Kitara FC.

Mityana based Kiyinda Boys FC, Kisugu United and Bunyaruguru United are the three regional league sides that advanced to the round of 16.

The last 16 draw is expected to be held this week at FUFA House in Mengo.
