Six Adjumani Town Council FC players and assistant coach are currently nursing injuries after allegedly being attacked by Kataka FC fans during the FUFA Big League game at Mbale Municipal Stadium on Thursday.
The attack on Adjumani team bus happened as the team was traveling out of Mbale following their 4-2 defeat to Kataka.
“Soccer is a beautiful game but what Kataka fc fans did to our team is anti football, this is a fight now football, they injured our players and coaching team.” Adjumani TC Said in a brief statement.
FUFA has promised to act as soon as possible
“Any form of hooliganism in football will be handled by our competent Judicial Bodies.
We have acted before and we don’t intend to create any gap whatsoever as the beautiful game must be enjoyed to the fullest with great joy. Perpetrators of hooliganism will be brought to book.” Stated FUFA

At the end of last season, Kataka players tortured one of Kyetume FC players following their 3-2 loss while a fan punched an assistant Referee.
Following the incident, FUFA ordered Kataka Football club to host the first five games of the 2022/23 FUFA Big League away from Bugisu Province as well as start the season with a deduction of two goals and two points.
