The 2023 Corporate League will kickoff on Sunday, 26th February at Kyadondo Rugby grounds.
This year’s Corporate League will have the inaugural source of the Nile Marathon which is slated for Saturday, 22nd April.
The Marathon which will be the main activity in the league’s 21 years of existence will aim at raising money for health center 2 grade to upgrade it to health center 4 in Jinja and also helping in the completion of the Kyabazinga palace.
80 companies and over 5000 participants are to take part in the in Marathon.
Chairman Board of Directors Corporate league, Dennis Mbidde Ssebugwawo confirmed that this year they will go regional
“This year, we hope to go regional and we shall start with launching the Jinja Corporate league due to the some many companies in the region. We shall also have the northern Corporate league in September.” Stated Mbidde
He added,
“We have also held talks with the Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations since we are planning to have the basketball corporate League this year.”
The 21st edition will also have Corporate kids league which will officially be launched on Saturday, 17th June at Legends Rugby grounds. It is expected to attracted over 300 kids.
Meanwhile the games will be televised and streamed via the CLTV online starting on Sunday, 26th March at Kings Park.
