Hippos captain Ismail Mugulusi has sent a warning to Nigeria that Uganda are ready and prepared to face the record champions of Africa’s biggest under age tournament.
The Flying Eaglets have been champions of the tournament for a record 7 times but Mugulusi who was also part of Uganda’s squad in 2019 believes there is nothing to fear for,
“In this team, everyone is captain. It is not only me so it’s not something big I am the one who wears the armband but everyone is a leader in the team”
The FC Madenikos midfielder told CAF online.com.
We are ready , everyone is in shape, we are mentally good. We have tried to put what the coach wants in practice. I think we can overcome Nigeria in the quarter finals.”
” Nigeria have been good but we’re also good and we can compete”
The confident Mugulusi added.
Nigeria finished second in group A which was led by a flawless Senegal to set up a tie with Uganda.
