URA FC striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe is close to joining 13-time Uganda Premier league champions KCCA FC, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Ahimbisibwe is currently out of contract at URA FC and this website has established that the striker will join KCCA FC on a two year employment contract to reunite with his former coach Brian Ssenyondo.
KCCA FC have been in search of a prolific striker in this transfer window and were also interested in Jude Ssemugabi’s signature.
Ssemugabi is however expected to be unveiled at South Sudan big spenders Jamus Sports Club.
Ahimbisibwe scored 16 goals to finish behind golden boot winner Allan Okello during the 2024/25 league campaign.
URA FC were also desperate to renew his employment contract but the forward seems to be on his way to Lugogo.
Jamus Sports Club of South Sudan, Rayon Sports of Rwanda and Sidama Bunna of Ethiopia are the other teams which were interested in signing him.
Ahimbisibwe began his club football career at Synergy FC between 2015-18 before moving to Nyamityobora FC, UPDF FC and lately URA FC.
