Calvary defeat Simbwa’s Kitara to storm quarter finals

Big League sides Adjumani TC and Calvary FC became the latest sides to progress to the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Calvary FC eliminated Big League leaders Kitara FC 8-7 on penalties after both sides played to a one all stalemate.

Micheal Khalid was the goal scorer for Calvary FC while Kitara FC’s goal was scored by captain Maxwell Owachgiu.

Adjumani TC eliminated Western Regional League side Bunyaruguru United 4-3 also on penalties after a full time goalless draw.

Calvary FC and Adjumani Town Council join defending champions BUL FC, Vipers SC, Express FC, Soltilo Bright Stars and KCCA at the quarter finals.

The last game of the round of 16 is going to be played today Monday 20th March between Police FC and Ndejje University at Kavumba Recreation grounds.
