Kampala Queens will be declared champions of the 2022/22 FUFA Women Super League if they manage to get at least a a point against UCU Lady Cardinals at Kabojja.
All match day 14 games will be played on Sunday morning at exactly 10am but much attention hovers around the tie between Kampala Queens and UCU.
The Queens are set to win the title while unbeaten having won 12 of the 13 games played garnering 37 points, 15 more than second placed Uganda Martyrs.
UCU currently having been struggling for form and currently sit fourth with 20 points, level with third placed Kawempe Muslim who have a superior goal difference.
Hamza Lutalo the KQ coach has dubbed the match as crucial and asserts his charges will attach more importance to it.
” We are going to do whatever is needed 5o win because it is a crucial game. We are going to be champions so we need to beat that team (UCU)” Lutalo said.
The reverse fixture at Mukono ended 1-0 in favour of Kampala Queens thanks to a Marget Kunihira lone goal.
The much needed result will ensure Kampala Queens win their first ever title since the club’s reincarnation from Gaddafi Integrated in 2016.
Other games on the day will see Kawempe visit Rines at Kabaka Kyabaggu in a battle of the rejuvenated sides.
Asubo Gafford Ladies who have enjoyed a fine form since the start of the second round, will host an off color Lady Doves side at Kampala Quality.
She Corporate and Olila face off at Nakawa for the second time in a week having locked horns in the FUFA Women Cup round of 32 last Sunday with Olila winning in a penalty shoot out.
Bottom placed Makerere University will be hoping to raise from their past ruins as they host Uganda Martyrs at Makerere.
