Isabirye names 17 man squad for dead rubber against Horoya

Vipers head coach Alex Isabirye Musongola has named a 17 man squad for their last CAF Champions league Group C game against Guinea side Horoya Athletic Club on Friday at 9PM.

The Venoms departed for Mali in the wee hours of Wednesday abroad Ethiopian Airlines. They will have a stopover at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport before connecting to Bamako.

Forward Cromwel Rwothomio is in the traveling squad despite not featuring for the Venoms in the last two months due to personal reasons.

Yunus Sentamu misses out through injury while Livingstone Mulondo and Siraje Sentamu have been with the Uganda Cranes team and won’t be involved. Fabien Mutombora also misses out as he is with the Burundian National team.

Horoya Athletic and Vipers both cannot progress further in the premium CAF competition. At Kitende both sides played out to a goalless draw.

Raja Casablanca and Simba SC are the two sides that have prevailed to the knock out from Group C.

Defenders: Hilary Mukundane, Isa Mubiru, Ashraf Mandela, Bashir Asiku

Midfielders: Bright Anukani, Olivier Osomba, Ibrahim Orit, Abdu Karim Watambala, Abdu Lumala, Serge Robert Mwenge.
