Kitara FC and Vipers SC prevailed to the FUFA Super 8 semifinals after edging KCCA FC and NEC FC respectively.
Kitara cruised to the semis after a 4-3 aggregate win over the Kasasiro Boys.
The second leg at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo ended in a 3-3 stalemate with Kitara’s Denis Omedi shining in the contest.
Joel Sserunjogi opened the scoring for KCCA FC in the 9th minute before Omedi levelled matters for the visitors moments later with a sensational rabona kick.
Omedi then assisted Jude Semugabi who sent Kitara into the lead midway into the first period.
KCCA were awarded a penalty at the stroke of halftime when the referee adjusted Ronald Otti to have fouled Etienne Katenga.
Bright Anukani was entrusted with the responsibility and sent Chrispus Kusiima through wrong way as the two sides went into halftime level.
After the recess, Semugabi completed his brace after being fed by on fire Omedi.
The home side restored parity through defender Muhamood Hassan in the 53rd minute.
Kitara held on and advanced to the semis where they will meet the winner between BUL FC and Maroons FC.
In the other game played on Tuesday, Vipers SC cruised to the semis after a 1-1 return leg away to NEC FC in the quarterfinals.
The Venoms played out to a goalless stalemate in the first leg at Kitende progress on away goals rule.
In the return fixture, Milton Karisa gave Vipers the lead at the stroke of halftime before Dickson Niwamanya levelled matters for NEC in the closing stages.
Vipers will next face the aggregate winner between SC Villa and Uganda Cranes Select team who will face off in the return leg on Wednesday at Lugogo.
