FUFA DRUM: Bunyoro beat Tooro to keep quarter final hopes alive

Bunyoro Province registered a 1-0 victory against Tooro Province away in Kyegegwa in their last game in group.

Jamir Nvule Kisitu scored the only goal for Bunyoro Province in the 54th minute of the game.

Victory propels Bunyoro Province to four points, level with Tooro and two behind Buganda Province who already progressed to the next round.

Tooro however need a point from their duel with Buganda to leapfrog Bunyoro. The final group D match will be played on Sunday 10th October.

In the other game of the day, Charles Ayeikoh’s Busoga Province lost 2-1 to West Nile.

Cromwell Rwothomio and Junior Andama were on target for West Nile in the 48th and 93rd minutes respectively.

Ibrahim Kazindula scored from the spot the only goal for Busoga in the 54th minute.

The group stage games will climax with match day eight with four games that will played on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th October.
