Sudanese Giants El Merrikh SC are set to part company with former Uganda Cranes coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic.

According to renowned African football journalist Micky Jnr, El Merrikh are in the final stages of parting ways with Micho following a string of unconvincing results.

The development comes in the aftermath of El Merrikh’s disappointing 1-0 defeat to ASC Snim in the Mauritania Premier League on Friday night.

It should be noted that El Merrikh and Al Hilal SC (both from Sudan), are competing in the Mauritania Premier League following the suspension of footballing activities in Sudan due to political instability.

Micho was appointed as the El Merrikh head coach early this year in January, alongside former SC Villa coach Dusan Stojanovic, with an objective of inspiring the club to better results.

He has been in charge of 10 games winning four times, drawing twice and losing the other four.

Three of Micho’s last four defeats have come in four games, making his imminent departure very inevitable.

El Merrikh are sitting 6th on the Mauritania Premier League table with 36 points from the 25 games played.
