Two Uganda Premier League matches will be played under floodlights at Kitende and Lugogo respectively this weekend.
The match between Vipers SC against Blacks Power FC at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Saturday will be played under floodlights at 7PM.
The other game will between KCC FC and UPDF FC at MTN Omondi Stadum (6pm) on Sunday.
FUFA however revealed that they will make a report after both games are played,
“The FUFA Club Licensing Committee will make a report after these matches to form the basis of further matches to be played under flood lights at these stadiums. Any match under flood lights thereafter on any stadium in the territory of Uganda shall be held in accordance with the regulations to be published in the due course.”
“The FUFA Club Licensing Committee is the body mandated to ensure compliance to the regulations governing hosting of all matches (day and under floodlights).” Read a statement
KCCA FC are currently second on the Uganda Premier league table with 37 points while UPDF are 12th with 21 points.
Vipers are fourth with 29 points they have garnered in 16 games whereas Blacks Power are 14th with 16 points.
