BIG LEAGUE: Kitara seek vengeance over wounded Mbarara city

FUFA Big leaders Kitara FC will hope to strengthen their grip on the top when they host wounded Mbarara City at Kigaya grounds in Hoima today Thursday 13th April 2023.

The first leg at Kakyeka ended 1-0 in favor of Mbarara City thanks to Henry Kitegenyi for the goal.

Kitara lead the table with 47 points, three above their visitors Mbarara City.

Both sides failed to register maximum points in their previous encounters.

Kitara FC played to a two all draw with Ndejje University at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje whereas Mbarara City lost 2-0 to David Mutono’s Kyetume FC at Nakisunga grounds in Mukono

The visitors will only miss goalkeeper Micheal Kagiri due to injury.

Sadick Ssempigi is very aware of the need for his side to close in on the table leaders,

“If we are to remain in the race, we have to win this encounter and good enough the players know the importance of this game. We are to fight for the best result as it will be battle in Kagaya.”

Victory will see Kitara FC stretching the lead to 50 points.

Mbarara City will go level level on points with Kitara FC incase they manage to complete a double over their hosts.
