The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) boys football championship resumed on Thursday with mat h day three at various playgrounds.
The event had its official opening ceremony at host school Ngora High School playground.
The contest between Wakiso district School Kyaddondo SS under the stewardship of Hakim Ssenkumba and Ngora High was the official match.
Kyadondo SS prevailed 1-0 thanks to a Thomas Ogema sole strike that earned Ssenkumba’s side a place into the round of 32 after registering their second consecutive win.
Joint record competition winners St Mary’s Secondary School Kitende also reached the round of 32 after overcoming Luweero Zone representatives Ssaku SS 2-0 at the BKC playground.
Bukedea Comprehensive School managed by Ronald Ssali also found their way to the round of 32 after a 5-0 thrashing of Ndejje SS.
Kyadondo, Kitende and Bukedea Comprehensive join holders St Julian High School into the round of 32.
Meanwhile, Blessed Sacrament Kimanya lost to Lagwai Seed School 2-1 while Kabalega SS and Uganda Martyrs Lubaga played out to a 1-1 draw.
The round of 32 matches will be played on Saturday, 10th May 2025 while the eliminated schools will battle in the classification matches.
Match day four will take place on Friday as various schools from different groups will be eyeing round of 32 berths.
