Joint record holders Express FC will be hoping to seal a place in this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup semi finals as they visit Adjumani Town Council at Paridi Stadium in West Nile.

Adjumani will be playing their first game since suffering unsporting attacks in the aftermath of their 4-2 defeat to Kataka FC about a week ago.

The West Nile side earned promotion to the Big League at the start of this season but have found it hard to compete and are currently relegation bound while sitting 2nd from bottom of the Big League table with 22 points from 24 games played.

Express on the other hand have had a rough season engulfed with unconvincing results in the results but will be targeting a respectable finish in the Uganda Cup as a consolation.

Adjumani will have to negotiate the tie without players who got nasty injuries in Mbale.

Emmanuel Anyama, Rashid Mudashir, Drichi Bosco Sam, Iya David Apiku, Amecitiku Joakino, Tatiga Fauzu, Brahan Safi Abiki, Yunus Dafala and assistant coach Andrew Chandiga Edu were gruesomely beaten up in Mbale.

For Express, James Odoch will be without the club’s talisman Allan Kayiwa who is sidelined by illness as well as defenders Arthur Kiggundu and Derrick Ngoobi.

Midfielders Ivan Mayanja (rehabilitation), Enock Ssebagala (illness) and Shafik Ssebyala (groin strain) are also out of the encounter.
