Gaddafi look to avenge Wakiso Giants first round defeat

Gaddafi FC will entertain Wakiso Giants in the early kickoff on Tuesday at Kakindu Stadium.

The Soldier boys will be seeking revenge over the Purple Sharks who prevailed 2-0 against them in the reverse fixture at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

Gaddafi are yet to win at home this year and have drawn all the previous three games they have hosted against SC Villa, Express FC and Busoga United. The 2-1 win over URA FC in December 2022 is the last time they smiled to victory at home.

The Wasswa Bbosa coached side are currently sixth on the log with 28 points after 20 games.

Wakiso on the other hand are winless since the resumption of the second round and have only collected a single point this year.

They have lost to Blacks Power, URA FC, SC Villa and a draw against Vipers. Their last league win was against Bright Stars in December last year.

John Luyinda coached side have lost six of their last eight games and against Gaddafi they will hope to complete a double.

Wakiso Giants are in the 9th position on the UPL table with 26 points after 21 games.

Gadaffi FC will be without Simon Sserunkuma and Latif Kiyemba due to respective injuries but the rest of the squad is available for selection.

Wakiso on the other hand will miss the services of Paul Willa and Apollo Kagogwe through injuries.

Mikidad Ssenyonga, Titus Ssematimba and Samson Kiirya are also ruled out while Norman Ogik will have a late fitness test.
