Kenya Premier League side Vihiga Bullets have confirmed the appointment of Ugandan tactician Louis Kizito as their new head coach.

Kizito replaces Milton Kidiga who has been relegated to the role of being the club’s new assistant coach.

Kizito is a former Onduparaka assistant coach who worked alongside Joseph Mutyaba during the 2020/21 season.

He has also previously coached University of Kisubi (UNIK) during the University Football League.

Vihiga recently signed Ugandan duo of Derrick Tekwo and goalkeeper Ashadu Bugembe from Kona Rangers during the mid season transfer window.

The club is also home to former Nyamityobora FC midfielder James ‘Tongi’ Ochieng who has been one of the mainstays since the start of the current disastrous season.

Vihiga lie rock bottom on the Kenya Premier League table with only eight points from 26 games played.

Kizito was in the dug out during the club’s 4-0 and 2-0 defeats to Kenya Police and Kakamega Homeboyz respectively.
