Vipers aim to keep up with the leaders with a tough visit to Arua

Vipers SC will be seeking to return to winning ways when they visit Arua Hill SC in the rescheduled fixture on Tuesday at the Barifa Stadium in Arua.

Arua Hill have won their previous two league games against SC Villa and Gaddafi FC. The Arua outfit are 5th on the Uganda Premier league table with 33 points.

The Venoms played out to a 1-1 stalemate with URA FC in their last league fixture. They are currently third on the log with 36 points, seven adrift of leaders SC Villa and four games in hand.

Geriga Atendele will miss the game through injury while Rashid Kawawa is out due to illness. Rashid Muhamad is also out.

Ivan Eyamu will have a late fitness test while Richard Anyama is in contention.

Vipers SC

Isabirye’s charges will be without inspiration striker Yunus Sentamu who limped off in the stalemate against URA FC.

Skipper Milton Karisa is available despite being forced off at halftime against the tax collectors on Saturday.

Arua Hill prevailed 1-0 when the two sides faced off last season at Barifa Stadium. This is the fourth time that both sides are tussling it out in the league, Vipers have managed two wins with Arua registering one victory in the previous three meetings.
