Mbarara city head coach Sadiq Sempigi has announced that he will leave his role as Mbarara city FC head coach .
Sempigi was appointed city coach towards the end of the 2021/22 season while they battled relegation which they eventually suffered but he stayed with them and managed to help them bounce back to the topflight after finishing second in the Big league.
” Team Mbarara City FC, everything was a challenge, we fought to the last man, we fought to the last minute, we fought for the club, and we fought our repetition. I take much experience, and I want to say it’s a great honor serving you, I wish the club all the best in Uganda premier league”

Sempigi posted on his Facebook timeline.
As earlier reported by this website, Sempigi’s contract had come to expiry and a comprise with the club to see it extended hit dead ends.
His next destination is however unclear at the moment but sources privy to this website reveal that a number of both Big league and topflight sides have made contact with him.
He has recently been appointed by Bulemezi as their head coach ahead of the new Masaza cup season.
