Uganda Cup: Police seek first leg advantage as Adjumani TC visit

The semi finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup kick off today with Police FC hosting fellow Fufa Big League side Adjumani Town Council at the Kavumba Recreation Ground.

The two sides are meeting once again after facing off about three weeks ago in the FUFA Big League where Police won 3-1.

Police completed a double over the West Nile side after winning the reverse fixture 2-1 at the Paridi Stadium.

To reach this stage, Adjumani eliminated the tournament’s joint record winners Express 2-0 thanks to goals from Michael Ajiga and Sadick Nasur.

Prior to the historic victory over Express, Adjumani beat Simba, Elite FC and Bunyaruguru United in the previous rounds.

Police also beat Apotuun FC, Pajule Lions, Ndejje University and recently BUL FC in the previous rounds.

The second leg of the encounter will be played on Friday May 26th at Paridi Stadium.

The other semi final has Vipers versus Soltilo Bright Stars with the former hosting the first leg at Kitende.
