Royal Giant High School Mityana beat Wakiso District Champions Buddo SS 1-0 in the Quarterfinals of the ongoing USSSA National Football championship in Fort Portal.
Ankunda Annest scored the all important goal that sent the Mityana based side to the Semifinal stage for the first in their history.
Record winners and East African Champions Kibuli SS also bowed out of the competition after being humbled by 3-1 Amus College School.
Muber Jimmy, Allan Oyirwoth and Otim John Brian scored the three goals that sent Amus into the Semifinal.
Davis Busuulwa netted a consolation for Kibuli.
Defending champions St.Mary’s Kitende cruised 2-1 past Standard High School Zzana in the other Quarterfinal.
Goals from Habib Oloya and Ronald Madoi sent the reigning champions into the last four.
Ntagojera Hamza had levelled matters for Standard High School Zzana but his goal was not enough to eliminate 10 time winners Kitende.
