BIKA FOOTBALL: Mbwa, Nvuma among five teams advancing to the second preliminary round

The first preliminary round of the Bika Byabaganda Football tournament has been concluded with five games.

Nnyonyi Ndisa, Nyonyi Nyange, Nkejje, Mbwa and Nvuma won their respective games to progress to the second preliminary round.

In the early kick off at Wakissha, Nvuma condemned Kibe to a humiliating 5-1 defeat.

Christopher Kawaggu and Kinene Lugolobi managed a brace each for Nvuma while the other was scored by Dirisa Kasirye.

Sadam Mayanja scored Kibe’s only goal.

Both Nicholas Ssenyonga and Arafat Muyanja scored from the spot in Nyonyi Ndisa’s 2-0 victory against Kayozi.

Nkejje eliminated Nvubu 5-2 in penalty shoot outs after the two sides playing to a two all stalemate at Buddo SS.

Isaac Ssemugabi and Brian Kayita scored for Nvubu in normal play, Amzah Kiyemba and Kenneth Ssebulembe were on target each for Nkejje.

Mbwa defeated Ntalaganya 2-0 at Kawanda SS. Paul Kisolo and Willy Kisolo were the goal scorers for Mbwa.

Herbert Kazibwe and Dan Kazibwe were the goal scorers for Nyonyi Nyange in their 2-1 against Mpewo at Wankulukuku.

Edward Kiryowa converted from the spot Mpewo’s consolation.

The second preliminary round tentatively expected be played Tuesday 6th June
