Uganda’s representatives in next season’s CAF competitions have been confirmed after KCCA FC announced that they are ready to participate in the CAF Confederation Cup.
There were circulating reports indicating that KCCA had contemplated to abstain from taking part in the competition due to lack of funds.
A statement has however been released confirming that,
“This is to inform all our stakeholders that #KCCAFC has today, sent in its confirmation to FUFA confirming participation in the CAF Confederation Cup for season 2023/24.”
Uganda’s slots are taken by the league winners who qualifies for the CAF champions league and the winners of the Uganda cup who take the Confederation cup slot.
However, Vipers won both trophies making KCCA who finished second in the league as the ideal candidate.
