Former Busoga United coach Abbey Kikomeko has been identified as the best suitable candidate to take over the vacant position of head coach at BUL FC.

Sources privy to this website understand that his back room staff will be headed by James Magala who also worked with the club under Alex Isabirye.

Kikomeko’s last employment was with regional league side Mbale Heroes, whom he joined in October 2022 after leaving Busoga United.

The CAF B license holder is credited for guiding Busoga United to topflight promotion in the 2015/16 season.

BUL have been under the interim tutelage of Simeone Masaba who took over from Alex Isabirye who joined Vipers SC mid last term.

BUL finished last season in the 8th place in what appeared to be a disappointing season by their standards.
