Kitara appoint Ssenyondo as Ssimbwa’s replacement

Newly Promoted Uganda Premier league side Kitara FC have appointed Brian Ssenyondo as their new head coach.

The development was confirmed on Wednesday at Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala.

Ssenyondo has been the head coach of Uganda Premier League club UPDF FC until his employment contract came to an end.

Earlier on Wednesday, Ssenyondo confirmed his departure at the Army side. He joins Kitara FC on a two year employment contract.

“This is the job that I couldn’t turn. I am a young coach eager to learn and I am a coach who wants flowing football as well as giving young players a chance.” I have come to make Kitara one of the best clubs in the country. I am passionate about football and so the fans should expect the very best. We may not win every day but we shall win.” Said Ssenyondo

Deo Kasozi the Club President revealed the reasons why they chose Ssenyondo

“Coach Ssimbwa achieved his target of getting the team promoted and winning the trophy as well. He left us after discovering our targets were different from ours.

“Our target is the top five positions and we believe Brian can help us achieve that. We also want to play entertaining football as well as winning games. We also want him to bring in young players.” Said Kasozi

He replaces Sam Ssimbwa who led the side back to the topflight division.

The youthful coach has previously coached Synergy FC, Mbarara City as well as the national U17 Boys national team where he was assistant to Hamzah Lutalo.
