Malinga promises to guide Mawokota to fourth Masaza Cup crown

Mawokota Ssaza team head coach Richard Malinga has promised to deliver the fourth Masaza Cup triumph for his side this term.

Malinga is now at the helms of Mawokota for a fourth consecutive time believes he has a great team that will prevail to success this term.

“This is my fourth time as Mawokota head coach and this year our target is to win the trophy. “The management has made sure that we recruit the best players who are ready to challenge and win the title.” I am optimistic that I will deliver the fourth trophy to Mawokota this time basing on how we have prepared ourselves.” Said Malinga.

Malinga has been in charge of Mawokota since 2020.

Mawokota last won the prestigious Buganda Kingdom Masaza Cup competition in 2013 thanks to a Farouk Miya late strike against Ssingo in final that was held at Nakivubo stadium.

They have also won the competition in 2005 and 2007.

Malinga and his charges will kickoff their campaign against Busiro on Saturday, 24th at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
