Mawokota sack head coach Steven Bogere

Mawokota management team have sacked their head Steven Bogere and his coaching staff after their home defeat to Busujju on Sunday.

The three time Buganda Masaza Cup winners released a statement confirming Bogere’s sacking

“Mawokota executive has unanimously decided to part ways with Head Coach Bogere Steven and his Coaching Staff with immediate effect. This decision has been made after careful consideration and a thorough review of the team’s performance.”

“We appreciate Coach Bogere’s contributions to the team during his tenure, including his dedication and passion for the sport. However, the club has decided to go in a different direction to achieve our goals and ambitions.”

The search for a new head coach is already underway, and we will announce the appointment in due course.” Read a statement

Bogere won just one game during his time at Mawokota, drawing three and losing two.

Mawokota are currently fourth in Masengere Group with six points in six games.
