Wakiso Giants are set to sign former Vipers SC players Bashir Asiku and Frank Tumwesigye alias Zaga.
At the start of this month, Vipers confirmed the release of both players.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that both players have already agreed terms with the Purple Sharks.
Zaga is product of St.Mary’s Kitende has also previously featured for Police FC. He returned to Vipers in January 2022 on a three year contract.
He left the Kitende based side as a three time league champion having won it in 2019/20, 2021/22 and 2022/23.
Asiku Bashir is also a graduate at St.Mary’s Secondary School team the feeder of Vipers senior team. He won three league titles and two Uganda Cup trophies at Vipers.
The two players have featured for the Uganda U20 national team. Last season, Wakiso finished in 8th place with 36 points on the Uganda Premier league table.
