The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed that it will maintain CAF B license as the minimum requirement for both the head coach and assistant coach for the 2023/24 season.
The development was made by the FUFA Executive Committee (FUFA EXCO).
It should be noted that the minimum requirement for a head coach competing in the top tier league had been set at CAF A, starting with the 2023/24 season.
However, the FUFA EXCO took a decision to maintain the previous minimum requirement of CAF B License.
The development means that CAF A requirement has been pushed to the next campaign (2024/25) when it will be put into effect.
Meanwhile, the Federation is set to organize a CAF A coaching course that will comprise of all eligible coaches.
