Ugandan goalkeeper Simon Tamale has joined Rwanda primus League side Rayon Sports.
Tamale joins Rayon Sports on a one year employment contract from Maroons FC.
Last season, Tamale stood out with superb performances week in, week out for Maroons and helped them finish 6th with 41 points they accumulated in 28 games.
The former Police and Bright Stars custodian kept 12 clean sheets and won his team several points with his match-winning saves throughout the season.
He was also nominated for the Pilsner UPL player of the season where he will battle with Charles Bbaale and Milton Karisa of SC Villa and Vipers SC respectively.
Rayon Sports FC will represent Rwanda at next season’s CAF Confederation Cup after their triumph at peace Cup were they beat APR 1-0 in the final.
In the league, Rayon Sports FC finished 3rd place on the Rwanda Premier league table with 61 points just two points behind the champions APR last season.
Rayon Sports FC is also the home of Joachim Ojera and forward Musa Esenu.
