Former BUL FC striker joins Rwanda’s Sunrise FC

Rwanda Premier League side Sunrise FC have completed the signing of Ugandan striker Robert Mukoghotya on a two year contract.

Mukoghotya has been featuring for Mukura Victory Sports in the same league for the last two seasons when he left BUL FC.

He also previously featured for URA FC and Mbarara based Nyamityobora FC.

The stocky striker was one of the performers and leading scorers in the league last season having scored 13 goals, three behind the eventual top scorer Willy Osomba Onana of Rayon Sports.

Mukoghotya was signed and unveiled alongside Patrick Murenzi from Mukura Victory Sports.

Other new signings at club include Jean Michel Byukusenge from Gorilla FC, Cameroonian Laab Garia Paul from Gicumbi, Elisa Duhimbazimana and Isaie Hagenimana both from Rugende FC.

It should be noted, Yafesi Mubiru, Brian Ssali, Juma Ssebadduka and Pius Wangi were the four players featuring for Sunrise FC.

Pius Wangi has already expressed his desire to return to the Uganda Premier League while Mubiru has attracted interest from a number of clubs.

Sunrise FC will be targeting a better finish having finished 11th on the table last season.
