Mbarara City have signed workaholic midfielder Francis Odongo from FUFA Big League side Kataka FC.
Odongo who has been serving as the Kataka FC captain, has signed a contract of one year with the Ankole Lions.
The dreadlocked midfielder is expected to boost Mbarara City’s midfield that largely relied on Ibrahim Thembo and Nvule Jamir.
He is an excellent passer of the ball, an industrious midfielder who also doubles as a leader on the pitch.
Odongo is the second signing of the Ankole Lions after winger Joseph Akandwanaho who signed a two year contract from Express FC.
The Mbarara based club appointed Wasswa Bbosa as their new head coach on a two year contract.
Bbosa is the replacement of Sadick Ssempigi who recently joined Jinja North United following the expiration of his employment contract.
