KCCA FC have confirmed the release of nine players ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Majority of the players leaving have run down their employment contracts and others have mutually agreed with the club to terminate their contracts.
The departures are custodian Benjamin Ochan, defender Geoffrey Wasswa, Brian Aheebwa, Brian Majwega, Allan Okello, Mustafa Kizza, Brian Kayanja, Ali Mwirusi Ramadhan, Denis Iguma.

Iguma and Kayanja have mutually agreed to terminate their employment contracts at the 13 time Uganda Premier league champions.
Earlier this website had revealed that players Ochan, Wasswa, Okello, Kizza, Majwega were to exit the club following expiration of their respective contracts.

Aheebwa also leaves the Lugogo based side after running down his three year Contract at KCCA FC. He joined the Lugogo based side in 2020 on a three year deal from Mbarara City.
Defender Geoffrey Wasswa joined the club in 2021 and has opted to depart the club after expiration of his two year deal.

Ali Mwirusi Ramadhan is a KCCA Soccer Academy graduate will also depart after expiration of his employment contract.

Kayanja joined KCCA FC in 2021 for three years. He made his debut in 2022 and was later loaned to Maroons for the second round of the 2022/23 season. He has agreed with the club to mutually terminate his contract.
Iguma joined KCCA FC in 2020 for two years and in 2022 renewed his stay at the club until 2024. He has agreed with the club to mutually terminate his contract with the club.

The Lugogo outfit finished second last term on the Uganda Premier league table as Vipers won the title on goal difference.
They have already appointed Portuguese tactician Sergio Traguil who will be assisted by Luis Manuel Correira and Jackson Magera respectively.
