Busiro head coach Ibrahim Kirya has resigned from his role at 2022 Masaza Cup champions.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that the tactician decided to part ways with the reigning Masaza Cup champions after their 2-1 defeat to Ssese Ssaza team on Saturday.

Sources also reveal that Kirya cited lack of financial constraints for the poor performances.

Kirya replaced Simon Peter Mugerwa who guided Busiro to their maiden Masaza Cup trophy last year.

The former SC Villa and URA head coach leaves the defending champions winless in the three games they have so far played in Muganzirwaza Group. They have lost twice to Mawokota and Ssese respectively and only managed a single draw against Kabula.

Godfrey Wasswa and Michael Kabali who have been serving as Kirya’s assistants are expected to be in charge of their next game against Mawogola on Sunday, 23rd at Wakishha Stadium.
