SC Villa have agreed terms with UPDF FC striker Abasi Kyeyune as preparations for the 2023/24 season intesify.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that Kyeyune is expected to put pen to paper on a two year employment contract with the 16 time Uganda Premier league champions.
The move will see Kyeyune reunite with his former teammate at UPDF Simon Mukisa.
Just like Mukisa, Kyeyune joined the Army at the start of last season.
At SC Villa he will also reunite with Travis Mutyaba with whom they win inaugural U-15 CECAFA Challenge Cup for Uganda that was held in Eritrea in 2019.
In that same tournament, Kyeyune finished as the top scorer with nine goals to his name.
During his time at Kampala Junior team (KJT), Kyeyune helped the side win the 2021/22 Futsal Super League. In the same season, he was voted the 2021/22 Futsal Super League Most Valuable Player for his outstanding performance during his side’s incredible trophy triumph.
At SC Villa, he is expected to boost their striking line that has Seif Batte. Villa have already signed Denis Ojara, Charles Batibwe and Diego Ssemugera.
