Thirteen Big league clubs have been handed a hefty 1,500,000/= fine after they failed to submit licensing requirements before the deadline of 24th July 2023 as demanded by FUFA.
Only two clubs have managed to meet the standards by Monday 24th July and these are Lugazi FC and Jinja North FC.
It should be remembered that last term, Kyetume FC had been promoted to the Uganda premier league but were relegated to the third tier only to be pardoned at the eleventh hour and installed into the Big league for violating the same rules.
The federation has however extended a grace period to the thirteen clubs for up to Friday August 2023.
Blacks Power, Onduparaka, Police, Booma, Calvary, Kaaro Karungi, Kataka, Mbale Heroes, Kigezi HomeBoys, Kiyinda Boys, Kyetume, Ndejje University and Young Elephants complete the Big league line up for the 2023/24 season.
